In this series, Entertaining Sonoma Style ™, part 1 defined what Sonoma Style is all about and listed the elements. Starting with part 2, we talked lighting. Now, in part 3 let’s talk about the table scape or table top decor.
First of all there is a naturalness or casualness to the tables when Entertaining Sonoma Style ™. We are less formal…less silver, linen and the like. So look for: Lot’s of Color, mix and match plates, napkins, table clothes, and the food. Add color with what you have when you can.
- If it’s white, it’s not fine china and linens, it’s much more rustic and casual.
- Simple flowers, perhaps in abundance and in simple containers work best. Often the flowers come from the abundant nature around you.
- Often buffet or self help serving tables, but with great class and special touches, even if they are rustic in feel.
- Those little extra touches will make your party easier and more fun for your guests. And don’t forget the #1 table top accessory for Entertaining Sonoma Style @…the mason jar!
Everything about Entertaining Sonoma Style ™ is simply elegant which makes it fun for your guests! Do you have any tips and tricks you’d like to share? I’d love to hear them.
