Hello, I am Irene

I am fortunate that I have always been able to create beauty that uplifts people through my work; for 15 years in the international fashion business as a trend director and product developer; and now, for the past 19 years, as the owner of  Irene Turner at Home, a complete interior design & renovation firm.

In my life I’ve moved around the world…a lot!  It was this moving and travel that made me crave the feeling of home, wherever I was, whether in a hotel room or in one of the 33 places I’ve lived.  So, when leaving the fashion business there was really nothing else I wanted to do but help create home for others as well.

It is my intent to help people by designing their space so that it completely reflects them, and is supportive of their lifestyle on all levels; in a way that is simple, sustainable and very beautiful.  It should be a place for them to come home to where they can slow down and recharge. This space then becomes their personal haven in the midst of an ever changing and fast paced world; and, when they enter their space, they can fully relax and feel completely…at home.

My approach

The question for me has always been what is that intangible, that energy that is the distinction between a simply beautiful house and a warm home that sings to the heart of all who enter?  It is through all my business and personal travel, exploration, and study; my many homes; plus my work with hundreds of clients that has helped me to answer this question and to establish a new paradigm for which to put this intangible into context.

Introducing, Energetics of Space™ or Esp.  It is a way of looking at space and designing that space by a method I call Wholistic Beauty by Design™.  When I approach space in the context of your whole life and not as a separate entity, it will help you maintain balance and alignment with life in general and will support you in sustaining your self in a healthy and enjoyable way.
