I am fortunate that I have always been able to fulfill my purpose through my work; for 15 years in the international fashion business as a trend director and product developer; and now, for the past 16 years, as the owner of Irene Turner at Home where we create beautiful environments for interior and exterior space, homes and businesses that make you feel at home! In my life I’ve moved around the world…a lot! It was this moving and travel that made me crave the feeling of home, wherever I was, whether in a hotel room or in one of the 33 places I’ve lived. So, when leaving the fashion business there was really nothing else I wanted to do but create home for others as well. The question for me has always been what is that intangible, that energy that is the distinction between a beautiful house and a home that sings to the heart of all who enter? It is through all my business and personal travel, exploration, and study; my many homes; plus my work with hundreds of clients that has helped me to answer this question and to establish a new paradigm for which to put this intangible into context.
