Hurray, it’s spring, and the season for peonies, my absolute favorite flower!

While I do love almost all flowers, peonies, best known in shades of soft pinks to deep burgundies, but also from white to corals and orange, are may absolute favorites.

At Home Bars-Via Napa Interior Design

I don’t know if it’s the influence of Mad Men and the revival of Mid Century Furniture, or not, but at home bars are hot…and so are pretty cocktails!

While I’m not a big fan of hard liquor, some of the frothy and prettily colored drinks are appealing. And when entertaining, being able to offer guests an alternative to wine is something new, for us here in Sonoma County.

From simple bars set up on a tray that can move with you, Continue reading “At Home Bars-Via Napa Interior Design” »

Dwell With Dignity-via Santa Rosa Interior Design

Dwell With Dignity is interior design with heart. Their mission is to help families escape poverty and homelessness through beauty and design. One household at a time. Here is their thought process:

If we can change a person’s surroundings, we can change their outlook on life. Exposing children (especially) to a nurturing home environment, that includes good design and art, can inspire a standard of living that will carry-over to future generations. Exposing parents to this same environment will allow them to see the positive impact it has on their family; inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in.

Oh yeah…right up my alley. I believe that beauty uplifts people’s spirit and their soul. Without beauty, the world is a dark and dreary place. Beauty Matters! Continue reading “Dwell With Dignity-via Santa Rosa Interior Design” »
