Today I had a jammed packed morning, starting earlier then usual…which for anyone who knows me knows, I don’t move fast in the morning! I had four consecutive meetings right in a row from 8AM until noon. By then I was muddled and tired and in no mood to tackle a renovation project. So I took a break and went for a walk, no place special, just out my front door!
The valley was clear and crisp, the vineyards were gold, the trees yellow and red, the sheep running through the fields! Beautiful!!!! After 30 minutes I was totally rejuvenated.
Taking the time to savor the simple beauty within our own environment, the nature around us…beauty that we often no longer see in the repetitiveness of everyday life is refreshing and uplifting. It is a well-known fact that beauty uplifts people. If we surround ourselves with beauty, good food, good wine, friends and family, gratitude, music, and other various expressions of the sweetness of life, we ennoble ourselves as well as our environment.
Open your eyes and give yourself the gift of beauty. Beauty is everywhere and in the simplest of things…the changing of the seasons, a flower floating in a beautiful bowl…a photo on the side table placed just so…a small light that casts a glow over favorite books …a private place to nap…a vase with branches of fall leaves.

Wonderfully beautiful. Easy to read, each section not too long; yet thoughtful and informative. I appreciate new links or connections of ideas to follow up on. I read each section, and wonder, if I wanted to revisit any one of the blog moments in the future would I be able to? Or do I copy the part of interest and file it away for future use?
